Welcome to Broken Hammer Forge, where Artist-Blacksmith Dave Collier hand forges ironwork and teaches others to do the same. Dave has been forging iron for 27 years and teaching classes for 16. We are located on Maryland's scenic Eastern Shore, just half an hour from the Chesapeake Bay. A retired Physical Therapist, Dave specializes in ergonomic forging methods which helps out students who may struggle with arthritis or other limitations. We have group classes and private lessons as well as classes for Scouts, youth groups, and homeschool groups.
