Intro to Blacksmithing ClassCome learn the basic skills of traditional iron work at Broken Hammer Forge. Located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, students will learn techniques used by blacksmiths for centuries. No prior experience or training is needed. We will start with the very basics, such as building a fire and proper hammering. Fundamental techniques covered will include drawing out, slit & drift, upsetting & twisting just to name a few. Students will get hands on practice through several small projects they will take home. Small class size allows for more individualized instruction. Classes are held on weekends and cost $235 per person. All tools and materials are included as well as lunches. We do accept teenagers accompanied by an adult.
